What Is AEB?

The Adult Education Budget (or AEB for short) is a government scheme which funds education and training for those 19 years and over, who have been unemployed or looking to build up their knowledge and skills within the chosen sector. The aim of AEB is to help adults not just find work, but to provide skills and learning needed to progress into full time roles, apprenticeships or other learning.

How does 360 Help?

AEB is funded for a number of different sectors from health and social care to construction. At 360 Apprenticeships we specialise in AEB for warehousing, where each candidate will learn skills needed to progress into full time roles. We have partnered with a number of large brands including Argos, Iceland, Beauty Bay and Heinz. We advertise these roles on some of the most well known job boards, and give every candidate who applies the offer to complete the AEB course. These can be for anywhere in the country, from Manchester to London.

What is Involved?

Each candidate who attends will participate in a 2-week training course prior to the interview process. Every candidate that completes the training will have a guaranteed interview, with 75% of those securing a role. Starting with a Level 2 qualification in Warehouse and Storage Principles, every candidate will be assessed through portfolio evidence. This evaluates their understanding of general warehouse duties such as receiving to storing warehouse goods, and be full trained on to health and safety.

How is it Beneficial?

AEB is beneficial in a number of different ways, and can help every candidate who enrols in the government-funded scheme. By the time each person completes his or her Level 2 qualification, they will have the skills needed to progress into their dream career and will help to:

  • Improve employability skills
  • Build a stronger CV
  • Gain new qualifications
  • Progression into employment
  • And become qualified in the preferred career.
